Sept. 12, 2022..fabric basket and leader/ender quilt with yellow sashing

Second day of posting in a row. I will see if I can keep this going.  Temperature was 11C at 0700 and the high for today is to be 21C. Still having nice weather yet. Heading for Strathmore this morning as hubby is still having problems(pain) with a newly capped tooth from Sept. 6.  Will visit with Mom this morning and have lunch there and then the dentist.  Company arriving tonight...Bob and Leila..Looking forward to a nice visit.  May not be on computer much for the next couple of days.

I belong to Virtual Sewing Retreat on Facebook and have attend a couple of their sew days now.  This is a fabric basket I made on one of those days.  A very nice group of ladies in the U.S.A.

I hope I haven't posted this one but it is made with the blocks that I make while using them and leaders and enders. Top photo is back and below is the front.  I use mostly flannel or fleece on the back for softness.

Happy quilting to all

Sept. 11, 2022...embroidered quilt and E.P.P.

Wow, it has been awhile.  I must remember to post more often.

This quilt is not finished. It is done this far but I want to add 2 more borders and have not decided on what to do for the borders. The squares on this one are hand embroidered as part of a group that I joined on Facebook a number of years ago. The group was "One stitch a day".  It is doodle work with a needle. The blocks were quilted and assembled as... quilt as you go method.

Done May 2022. These are 2 blocks done as part of a group called " I'm going to pieces". Part of a group on the "quilting pattern magazine". These are the only 2 I have done so far in a quilt along that the group is doing.  Need to do some more.

Today is sunny and bright. Temp at 8am was 7C. It is to be 28C this afternoon.  Likely home today as Dave had a cap put on a tooth on Tues and has had problems since then.  He has been back to the dentist once for an adjustment. Still having pain. Apparently the gum is bruised.

Crumb quilt Mar. 2022

Front and back of crumb quilt. Not bound here but I used the same yellow as sashing on the front. I need to get a few more of these quilts made up.

 March 29, 2022

We are at my son's, doing taxes. Ethan is already 6 months old.  It was a good day. Had pizza for supper. Tanner picked it up on the way home from work.

Saturday 1 January 2022

Memory box for Ethan that was made by Sara and Chris and of course, Ethan inside the box.

A few weeks old here.

Happy New Year.  Here is a photo of our new grandson and the quilt I made him.  I was testing a pattern for Eleri Taylor. Jenn made the owl and fox cut outs for me and then I did them in fabric.
