Jan. 12, 2019...baby quilt and placemats

 Hi, here I am missing a couple of days.  I have 2 items that I took to show and tell at my guild Christmas party.. The top quilt was started with a panel and I added borders and the the E.p.p. butterflies. I had 2 - one metre pieces of flannel that I used for the back and binding. I think I finished this in Nov. 2018

Photo above are 2 of the 6 placemats I made with E.P.P Christmas Trees. I Machine sewed the trees in place and the straight lined quilted the rest of each placemat.  They were gifted at Christmas time 2018.

I am busy working on another quilt gift at the moment but I can't show it till after July is part way over.

This is the half that didn't get posted.  It was just pinned in this photo but it is now quilted.  I still don't have the other half done yet.  Need to get back to that one.

I did get down to my sewing room this morning.  A little sewing, a little cleaning and organizing.  Just for an hour but that works for me.

Hi to everyone,  Well, I missed yesterday but here are a few items from 2018.

 The first 3 are blocks made from orphan pieces. I believe that they were made for Block Lotto and got sent to the winner.  It was not me.

 The bottom 2 photos are of a charity quilt that is still in the works. I do have one half sewn together and quilted in the q.a.y.g. method. The photo uploaded but I guess it wasn't highlighted and it did not get to this page.

 We have a lovely sunny day here today with Hoar frost on all the trees. It looks beautiful.

Took me twice to get these photos to load. The first one was a block lotto block in 2018 at the beginning of the year.

The next 2 are the back and front of a baby quilt I made for a donation to Indus Arena's Men's auction as a thank you from our Days For Girls group. Indus donates a meeting room for our sew days once a month. The fabric was all left over scraps for other projects.

Still have not made it to my sewing room.  Should be home tomorrow so I am hoping to get some sewing done.  I have been knitting in the evening while watching t.v.

Jan. 4, 2019 Quilts at BowBench Retreat

Hi, we were out this morning and I really haven't gotten into my sewing room today. Better luck tomorrow morning I am hoping.  I am presently working on my "3 dudes-african fabric" quilt.
Can't post it till after July when it will be given as a gift.

 This was at a sew day at BowBench Retreat.  The 2 quilts on the wall were done by Sue N. and I really liked the patterns so took photo's of them for future ideas. Sue made both for charity quilts.

 Below is a Judy Niemeyer quilt made by Sue K. She did a great job.  She finished the top that day.

Above are denim circle placemats. There are 8 of them.

 I learned how to do sashoko and used it for the centre of this small quilt. It hangs over the back of one of my living room chairs. Above front, back is below and is butterfly material. I hand quilted around alot of butterflies for the quilting on the piece

Well, I had a surprise today when I decided to check my blogger page.  I had no idea that I had not left a post in such a long time.  It was 2016. Wow. I really should post more often. I will try to remember to do this in future.  

Happy New Year to all that read this blog.  I have uploaded a few things that I have crafted recently.

   The photo above is of the 2 blocks that I made for Block Lotto for Dec. 2018.  I did not win so they will be hitting the mail likely tomorrow.

 The 4 potholders I make for Christmas. The are all gone from my house now.  I need to make some more folded start centres so I have the ready for finish for the next needed occasion.

 I bought 2 chair pads from Bed, Bath and Beyond and the used waste canvas to cross-stitch the Dr. Who Tardis on this one and the second one(which I forgot to take a photo of) has the Dalek on it.

 This was the Nov. block lotto block.  I believe that I did not get the photo uploaded for this one so it is mine to keep.

These are door hanging ornaments that we made at my craft guild. They went to a nursing unit in Strathmore before Christmas.

We had a great holiday season. Hope everyone else did.
