We were at Grizzly House in Banff for dinner. Also went on the gondola. Wonderful anniversary. A week late due to weather.  We got our trip in the middle of 2 snow storms.

 This was a f.q. testing pattern I made. Like the results. Found My 1/4" seams are a little less and ended up being 1/2" bigger than should have been.

 Charity blocks that I worked on in March, at BowBench Retreat.  They were fun to make.

Derailed...test pattern March 2024

 Just tested a pattern for Eileen. I made 2 placemats instead of the big quilt. Nice option for me. I could get it finished.  This was a fat quarter pattern , called "derailed".

This was the quilt I made for Ethan.  The rocket part of it was a pattern I tested for "the quilt pattern magazine" and I decided on wonky stars in the night sky to make the quilt bigger for his twin bed.. The table topper was a secret pal gift given to me from a member of Dalemead quilters guild quite a few years ago.  Sorry to say I have forgotten who made it and it is away with the Christmas decorations now. The felt poinsettia was made by me at the Indus Handicraft guild several years ago.

This advent calendar was made by me for Amelia.  It was a printed panel and the intent was that the pockets would be in a straight line.  I did not want to do it that way so found a red piece of fabric backed all the pockets and appliquéd three sides to the back.  I made the gingerbread men into pockets as well.  Numbers of pockets are not in order.

 Strip quilt uploaded to computer on Jan. 1, 2024 . Finished likely the week after Christmas.   The sunrise below is from some time that week as well. Small quilt will be donated to comfort quilt of  Wheatland quilting guild some time soon.

charity quilt day..Hunter star

This day happened Feb. 3, 2024.  At BowBench. It was lovely seeing these units coming together. I travelled with Maureen O. and she drove us to the event. Got the top this far before 3p.m. so was home earlier then usual for a charity day.

 This is a cross stitch bird I made alot of years ago.  Was made into a chair pillow which became a bit worn. Top stitched bird to new fabric and made a new chair pillow.

Friendship star...charity day June 24, 2023

Blocks that I made at the charity sew day at Bow Bench on June 24, 2023.  Maureen and I made a total of 20 friendship stars to go around a panel.  During the day 4 tops were completed and 4 more were on their way to completion.  Ours will be completed on another day of sewing.  We had alot of fun. Had fun at this charity day.  There are  about 10 of us there.We got the top finished. Small quilt on lefties the sample the we had before we did the blocks...blocks made using the Studio 160 rulers. Alison was our teacher.

 

Caleb Maurice's extra gift quilt....March 2023

This is the quilt that I made for Caleb Maurice.  I didn't like one of the rows in the birth quilt that I made him so I decided to make him a new one.  I like this one so much better.
